Finnick's 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' portrait finally revealed

It's unclear how deep into the large cast of characters Lionsgate plans to go with these victory portraits for Catching Fire, but so far they've done a fantastic job of holding off on the ones fans are most interested in. For months, the hottest and most contested role in Hollywood was for Finnick Odair, the handsome and athletic victor from District 4. The role eventually went to Snow White and the Huntsman co-star Sam Claflin, and although we've seen an image of him as Finnick before, the latest portrait gives us the best look yet.

Decked out in one of the Capitol's silly outfits, Finnick looks more like a pirate than anything else. That's partly due to the Capitol's bad fashion sense, but also because he's from District 4 which thrives on the fishing trade. He won his Hunger Games using the tools he's familiar with, a trident and fishing net to ensnare his foes. It's a talent that gets called into use again during the 75th Hunger Games, known as the Quarter Quell.

So what do you think? Does Claflin look the part? Or did Lionsgate make the wrong decision? And who are we hoping to see next? My fingers are crossed for Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee.  The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens on November 22nd. [MTV]
