The marketing machine for Danny Boyle's Trance is now in high gear, and the trick for studios has been to show enough to convince people this isn't just you run-of-the-mill heist movie, while at the same time not giving away what makes it so special. So far they've done a pretty good job, even after dropping three clips online the true nature of the story remains well-hidden. All will be revealed in a couple of weeks when the film finally rolls into theaters, but for now a new trailer will have to suffice.
Starring James McAvoy, Rosario Dawson, and Vincent Cassel, the film details a heist gone wrong when an art auctioneer takes a blow to the head during the crime, thus forgetting where he hid a priceless work of art. The gang doesn't totally buy his story, and so they hire a hypnotherapist to root out the truth, and from there things get complicated in just about every imaginable way. Boyle is at the top of his game in the film and in this footage, giving the film a sexy, electric look complimented by a cast who are running on all cylinders.
Fall under the spell of Trance when it hits theaters on April 5th.
