New trailer, poster, and images from 'Star Trek Into Darkness'

"Your commanders have committed a crime I cannot forgive". Paramount and J.J. Abrams have worked worked hard to keep a shroud of secrecy hanging over Star Trek Into Darkness, and even with the trailers and various images, a good deal of it remains a mystery. But we are starting to learn more about Benedict Cumberbatch's villain, the plainly named John Harrison, and why he's on such a clear path of destruction.

A new international trailer has been released, along with a poster and a pair of images, that put the emphasis squarely on Harrison, who we learn from the footage was one of Starfleet's top agents. Now he's bent on revenge for a crime his commanders may have committed, and of course he'll run up against Kirk (Chris Pine) and the crew of the Starship Enterprise. There's a lot of new footage here, and the film continues to look like the bleak middle chapter of the trilogy. Much of the humor seems relegated to the supporting cast, while Pine is taking on a more serious demeanor.

Star Trek Into Darkness hits IMAX 3D theaters on May 15th before expanding two days later.
