New poster and photos from Keanu Reeves' 'Man of Tai Chi'
It may sound strange, but Keanu Reeves is doing more for American martial arts films than anybody in recent memory. Sorry, Rza, but you had your shot! He's got the long-delayed 47 Ronin arriving at some point, while at the same time he's been keeping his Chinese-American film Man of Tai Chi close to the vest. But it looks like it's now starting to emerge from the shadows as we're getting the first poster and a handful of images.
Stepping behind the camera for the first time, Reeves will also star alongside The Matrix fight choreographer, Tiger Hu Chen. Iko Uwais (The Raid: Redemption) and Karen Mok (Around the World in 80 Days) join in the contemporary tale of a young martial artist on a spiritual journey. In a nice twist, Reeves will actually play the antagonist, with Hu Chen as the lead. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out, and if Reeves can keep his promise of more than 40 minutes of action.
Hopefully we'll learn of a release date soon.
