It looks like Marvel is no longer going to have an iron grip on the superhero movie market, as Warner Bros. is taking some major steps to take advantage of Man of Steel's success. With the news that a Superman/Batman team-up film possibly titled World's Finest will be announced today for 2015, we're now expecting word on a Flash film and a firm date for Justice League.
According to THR, Flash is being eyed for 2016, with Justice League tentatively set for 2017. Both films have been in various stages of development for awhile, and the Flash script has been tackled numerous times, including by Man of Steel scribe David Goyer. We've even heard rumors of Charlie Hunnam possibly being the model for the character.
Justice League also has Goyer's involvement, as he took on the script after Will Beal's attempted draft. So it sounds as if Goyer is going to be the mastermind of much of what WB has coming up in the future.
