The Comic-Con panel for The Walking Dead was a rip-roaring good time, although not especially revelatory when it comes to details on season four. We did get a look at Scott Gimple as the new showrunner, and the promise from him, Robert Kirkman, and producer Gale Anne Hurd is that things are going to be "way crazier". We can also expect to see a few changes in the antagonist, the Governor (David Morrissey), and that his character may pose a different sort of threat.
A trailer for season four was also played for the Hall H crowd, and it's now online. In it we see that the "Walkers" are starting to behave different, and are beginning to overrun the prison. There's also a potential threat from within (isn't there always?), and the presence of a new character, Bob Stookey, played by Larry Gillard Jr. It also looks like Rick has picked up a few tricks from his pal, Morgan.
The fourth season of The Walking Dead will premiere 9 p.m. Sunday, October 13, on AMC.
