New Trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn and Ryan Gosling's 'Only God Forgives'

Brutal acts of violence followed by soulful karaoke performances, that's the disorienting tone depicted in pretty much every trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn's Only God Forgives, and the latest trailer is no different. Reuniting with his bro-for-life Ryan Gosling, Refn takes us to Bangkok for a story of revenge between a brutal cop and the owner of a kickboxing gym whose brother was murdered.

While this domestic footage is similar to what we've seen before, it does give a good indication of the film's unpredictable nature. Those who come walking in expecting it to be Drive will definitely see some of the same electric style, but some may be surprised by how much they see of Refn's Valhalla Rising. And look out for Vithaya Pansringarm as the sword-wielding killer, Chang. The guy is a quiet force of nature, and the perfect balance to Kristin Scott Thomas' maniacal performance.

Only God Forgives opens on July 19th.
