Disney's 'Frozen' Reveals New Trailer and Posters

Disney's focus may be a little split nowadays between Marvel, Star Wars, and fielding questions about summer failure The Lone Ranger, but the Mouse House knows they can always lean on the reliable animation department. Their one big release of they year is Frozen, a very loose CG-animated adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson's The Snow Queen. After releasing a couple of teasers that played more like Ice Age than a fairy tale, the first full trailer has arrived, giving us our best look at the plot yet.

Kristen Bell voices Anna, who must team up with  mountain man Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) to find her sister Elsa (Idina Menzel) the Snow Queen. Elsa has banished herself away into a far away place and left the kingdom in a perpetual winter. What unfolds is what looks like a romantic love triangle disguised as an adventure as Anna must choose between two suitors, or possible none at all. Anna's potential case for independence is perhaps a little too similar to Pixar's Brave, while the talking reindeer and snowman are straight out of the Tangled playbook. It's a formula that should work, but there's little here to think Frozen will be one of Disney's better efforts.

Frozen takes the ice on November 27th.
