First Trailer for 'Dom Hemingway' Starring Jude Law
Even though American audiences will have to wait until next spring to catch Jude Law's incredibly vulgar performance in Dom Hemingway, the U.K. will have a chance to check it out in just a couple of months, and the marketing push is beginning to build. Fox Searchlight has released the first U.K. trailer for the film, and while it seems to share some profane DNA with Irvine Welsh's Filth (see a nasty trailer for that here), there's also a considerable amount of heart and what looks like a flat out insane performance by Law.
Featuring an impressive cast of Richard E. Grant, Emilia Clarke, and Demian Bichir, the film centers on Hemingway, a loudmouth larger-than-life safe cracker who keeps his mouth shut for twelve years in prison. Now released, he comes looking for the money he's owed for staying quiet, and after running into some problems decides to try and reconnect with his estranged daughter. The trailer highlights the spirited verbal tug-of-war between Law and Grant, which is more than enough reason to get excited and to curse the Brits for seeing it so darn early.
Directed by Richard Shepard, Dom Hemingway opens in the U.S. on April 4th 2014.[DigitalSpy]
