* 2010's Norwegian horror/fantasy Troll Hunter came out of nowhere to become a surprising cult hit, so that means a remake is in order. *sigh* At least it has someone talented at the reins, with Neil Marshall (The Descent) lined up to write and direct. The original "found footage" style film followed a group of students who follow a mysterious hunter into the woods, only to learn that he's hunting trolls rather than bears.
* Nancy Meyers hasn't directed a film since 2009's It's Complicated, but recently she had been developing the rom-com Royal Wedding, originally written by The Spectacular Now duo of Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber. Meyers had been rewriting the script with plans to make it her next directorial effort, only now she's departed the project for unknown reasons. The film follows an American woman whose life gets turned upside down when she begins dating "a very unlikely young man", which we can assume means he's a prince or something.
