Trailer for Indie Rom-Com 'A Case of You' Starring Justin Long and Evan Rachel Wood

The title A Case of You should probably tell you there are significant amounts of indie quirk in store.  Small scale rom-coms with "hip" casts and attitude are a dime-a-dozen on the festival circuit, with only a few breaking out and scoring with general audiences. There are only but so many Don Jons and (500) Days of Summers to go around, after all. At least if the reviews out of Tribeca are any indication, A Case of You will not be one we'll hear a lot about.

Starring Justin Long, who also produces and co-wrote the script with his brother, the film centers on a lonely writer (strike one) who meets and falls for Birdie Hazel (strike two), and in a desperate attempt to date her creates a fake "Facebook" profile that matches all of her interests. Of course she falls for his phony persona, putting him in the awkward ethical dilemma of keeping up the charade or coming clean. Peter Dinklage slums it as his horny barista buddy (strike three!), and Evan Rachel Wood tries desperately to fit in a genre she's not really built for. Cute and cuddly comedies aren't really her strength, and Long looks like he wishes she was Drew Barrymore.

Directed by Kat Coiro, catch A Case of You in theaters and VOD on November 6th.
