Before Ben Affleck suits up to fight crime in Batman vs. Superman, he'll be at the center of one in David Fincher's Gone Girl. The adaptation of Gillian Flynn's bestselling book is easily one of the more eagerly-awaited movies of 2013, and given the popularity of Flynn's work right now it's bound to be a smash.
20th Century Fox have released the first official image from the film, showing Affleck as Nick Dunne, a former journalist-turned-bartender who moves with his wife from New York to Missouri, only to have her disappear on their fifth wedding anniversary. Featured prominently on the billboard is Rosamund Pike as the missing wife Amy, and her disappearance opens up a lot of secrets about Nick's dubious activities.
Also starring Tyler Perry (!!!), Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Fugit, Kim Dickens, and Emily Ratajkowski, Gone Girl opens October 3rd 2014.
