Not even cancellation could keep Veronica Mars from solving her greatest case ever; that of the big screen feature film. The $5.7M fans of the show donated to help kickstart things into gear have bought more than just a movie, though. In the last week alone the original series has begun streaming on Amazon Prime; a new trailer debuted and was met with high praise; a cast reunion at Paleyfest was announced, and so was the film's world premiere at SXSW. Pretty decent value, I'd say.
Now the icing on the cake comes with the first official poster, which is pretty nifty, too. It features Veronica and her trusty camera, necessary for any serious private dick, along with a couple of film reels featuring her friends, family, and possible suspects. The story has Veronica returning to Neptune when her former flame, Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring) is accused of murder.
Written and directed by show creator Rob Thomas, Veronica Mars hits theaters March 14th.
