The jam packed blockbuster year of 2015 just got a little bit lighter. Variety is reporting Batman vs. Superman has been bumped to May 6th 2016, with joe Wright's Peter Pan origin film Pan taking its place on July 17th 2015.
No reason has been given except to say that production will now begin in the second quarter of this year with Zack a Snyder still at the helm. Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, and Amy Adams will star, with Jason Momoa, Joaquin Phoenix, and numerous others rumored. Batman News reported earlier that Affleck injured his leg and that filming would be delayed, but that has yet to be confirmed.
Here's the thing: Marvel has a mystery film slated for May 6th 2016, meaning we could get the first true DC/Marvel showdown.
