Idris Elba and Sam Worthington Join Noomi Rapace in 'Alive Alone'
Filming should have already begun on Alive Alone, a thriller we learned would star Noomi Rapace and Matthias Schoenearts. But personal reasons have caused Schoenaerts, best known for starring opposite Marion Cotillard in Rust and Bone, to drop out of the production. Fortunately, first-time director Khurram Longi has found a couple of worthy replacements in Idris Elba and Sam Worthington.
According to Deadline, Elba and Worthington have come aboard the NYC-set film which is now targeting a March start. Longi penned the Black List-approved script which has Elba as an ex-Guantanamo Bay detainee now working as a taxi driver, who finds salvation in a prostitute (Rapace) on the run from a feared crime boss played by Worthington.
Rapace and Elba starred in Prometheus together but it sounds as if they'll be getting a lot closer now. Be jealous, ladies. Worthington will be seen next in Sabotage alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, while Elba has a pair of crime thrillers in No Good Deed and The Gunman.
