Is Ms. Marvel the Next Addition to 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'?

Ever since the first Avengers movie it's been expected that Carol Danvers, the superhero known as Ms. Marvel (or Captain Marvel, or Warbird, or Binary) would be part of the team. With Joss Whedon prepping Avengers: Age of Ultron, and already adding other classic Avengers like Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and now the Vision, Latino Review assures us that Ms. Marvel will be next.

The site says that Ms. Marvel is "the last piece of major casting" left for the film, but they seem to be keeping secret how she would fit in. There have been a number of different characters using the Ms. Marvel title, with the current version a teenaged Muslim girl named Kamala Khan. But the most recognizable version is that of Danvers, a former Air Force pilot who gained her powers through an accident involving an alien device. She's not only one of the most physically powerful Avengers, but she has led the team on numerous occasions.

Emily Blunt, Ruth Wilson, and Yvonne Strahovski have been rumored for the role in the past, and Katee Sackhoff's name has come up for a possible Marvel role that some think could be Danvers. There's even been talk that Marvel has a script for a Ms. Marvel solo film, but nothing has been heard on that in awhile.  If this holds true it'll be interesting to see which version of the character Whedon decides to go with. Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1st 2015.
