'Knight Rider' Remake may Star Chris Pratt and Danny McBride

The coming year could see Chris Pratt blow up in a big way, assuming everything goes how it should. He's sort of in the same position Ryan Reynolds was a few years ago before everything went to crap, with a major comic book film in the way in Guardians of the Galaxy and another huge franchise in Jurassic World. For someone regarded mainly as a comedy sidekick (like Reynolds was), it's a big step forward for Pratt. And if the current rumor is true, he could be on the verge of leading one more potential blockbuster.

The hit-or-miss dudes over at Schomes Know say that offers are out to Pratt and Danny McBride to star in the developing Knight Rider remake. The project got moving last year when Brad Copeland was hired to start work on a script, and it sounds like The Weinstein Company has hopes of turning it into a 21 Jump Street-style reboot. Bringing on Pratt and McBride would certainly go a long way in accomplishing that goal.

Without a director attached this rumor seems a little sketchy, and there's no guarantee either man will accept the offer. Pratt in particular seems like he would be too busy to add another studio film to his schedule. But the idea of a comedic take on a crime-fighter and his talking car has a ton of potential that would only get better if Pratt and McBride come aboard. We'll see what shakes out.
