Paul Thomas Anderson's 'Inherent Vice' Hits Theaters December 2014
It used to be five years or more between Paul Thomas Anderson movies, an excrutiating wait for fans of the Boogie Nights director. But lately he's picked up the pace, and now just two years after The Master, his latest film Inherent Vice will be hitting theaters this holiday season.
Warner Bros. has given Anderson's detective comedy a December 12th 2014 release date, meaning audiences will have something to see other than Ridley Scott's Exodus or the Paddington Bear movie. Inherent Vice is based on the Thomas Pynchon novel, set in 1970s Los Angeles and following pot smoking gumshoe Doc Sportello as he encounters other crazy characters while investigating a kidnapping. Joaquin Phoenix, Benicio Del Toro, Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, Josh Brolin, Martin Short, Jena Malone, Kevin J. O'Connor, Katherine Waterston, Timothy Simons, Peter McRobbie, Sasha Pieterse, Joanna Newsom, Maya Rudolph and Eric Roberts make up a cast that is borderline unfair it's so good.
Also, the Entourage movie has been dated for June 12th 2015, and if you've been paying attention to set photos there are some big cameos lined up. In fact, you can check out the latest one here.
And Nancy Meyers' latest comedy, The Intern, has been set for September 25th 2015. The film stars Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway, with the Les Miserables star as the owner of a successful company who hires a senior citizen to be her intern.
