Sienna Miller and Chloe Sevigny Join Whit Stillman's 'Love and Friendship'; Sevigny Tweets #Horror

It was a lengthy 13-year wait between Whit Stillman's The Last Days of Disco and 2011's Damsels in Distress, and while the director has circled a couple of other projects, one has definitely gone to the head of the pack. Last year we learned he was planning to adapt Jane Austen's epistolary short, Lady Susan, only to learn that Stillman also planned to turn it into a novel titled Love & Friendship: An Adaptation of Jane Austen’s Unfinished Novella Concerning the Beautiful Lady Susan Vernon, Her Loves and Friendships, and the Strange Antagonism of the DeCourcy Family.  But the movie is still on the way, and Stillman has found his first two leading ladies, including one familiar face.

According to The Herald (via ThePlaylist), Sienna Miller and The Last Days of Disco's Chloe Sevigny will star in the film about the manipulative Lady Susan Vernon (Miller), a manipulative schemer using her looks to find entrap the perfect husband. Meanwhile she's also looking to marry off her shy and troublesome daughter. Sevigny will play Lady Susan's confidante, Alicia Johnson.

Given that this is Stillman, we can probably expect him to have a slightly altered view of the material. Filming on Love and Friendship is set to begin this summer.

Meanwhile, Sevigny has also lined up a new horror film titled....*ahem*....#Horror. Seriously. The title is a friggin' hashtag. Damn you, Twitter marks!! The directorial debut by Tara Subkoff co-stars Timothy Hutton, Taryn Manning, and Natasha Lyonne in what is being described as a "scandalous noir thriller". Yeah, #whatever.
