I don't watch as much TV as I used to, but one show that quickly became appointment viewing for me is HBO's
True Detective, by far the most compelling television on any network right now. Starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson at their most frazzled, with brooding direction by Cary Fuuanaga, there's nothing sunny about any episode and their likely never will be. In line with the creepy tone of the show,
