Not long ago we got a look at a head shot of Grant Gustin in his costume for CW's The Flash TV pilot, and while it was cool it only made us want to see how the rest of the suit would be decked out. Now DC Comics and Warner Bros. have released this image of Gustin in the full lightning-streaked costume, designed by three time Oscar-winning designer Colleen Atwood.
Atwood also designed the outfit used in the Arrow series, so it only makes sense she'd have a hand in the spinoff, too. Gustin debuted as Barry Allen in a recent episode of Arrow, setting up his origin and establishing that both heroes exist in the same universe.
"I hope the fans who treasure the character are as excited as we are by what costume designer Colleen Atwood has achieved with this latest version of The Flash's iconic suit," said David Nutter, the director and executive producer.
The Flash is in production now from writers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns.
