Jon Favreau Serves Up the First Clip from 'Chef'
Jon Favreau's upcoming film co-stars Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson, but it's not Iron Man 4 or anything close to that. Instead it's the rather unassuming little comedy, Chef, in which Favreau writes, directs, and stars as a prominent LA chef who leaves his job, moves to Miami, and regains his creativity by opening up a food truck.
The first clip from Chef has been released with the film recently premiering at SXSW, and it's a cute scene with Favreau, Bobby Cannavale, and John Lequizamo arguing over Twitter followers. It harkens back to Favreau's earlier work on films like Swingers and Made, before he cashed in on family blockbusters. Of course he's returning to that world again soon directing Disney's The Jungle Book.
Also starring Sofia Vergara, Dustin Hoffman, Amy Sedaris, and Oliver Platt, Chef opens May 9th.
