New Poster and TV Spot for 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes'

If you were watching the season finale of The Walking Dead (hopefully you caught Rocky's recap, too?), then you may have caught the very first TV spot for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. One's been taken over by zombies, the other by apes, I'd say 20th Century Fox knew exactly who they were targeting with this ad.

The spot features a good amount of new footage, and largely leaves the humans, played by Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Toby Kebbell, and Judy Greer, out of the equation. Andy Serkis is back as the first and most evolved ape of them all, Caesar, trying to maintain a fragile peace that many seem to want broken. There's a great deal of emotion seen in this clip, and it can also be found in the new poster showing the nurturing side of Caesar.

Directed by Matt Reeves, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes opens July 11th.
