'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' Reveals One Final Trailer

There's been a concerted effort by Sony over the last few weeks of their crushing promo blitz for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, to shift the focus away from Jamie Foxx's Electro and onto Dane DeHaan's Harry Osborn. Perhaps they realized we had seen an awful lot of Electro and wanted to tone it down, or perhaps it means Osborn, who will get green and nasty as the Green Goblin, is going to play a much larger role than previously thought. And how might he fit in future sequels and the proposed villainous spinoffs, Venom and Sinister Six?

The answer to those questions isn't made clear in the final trailer for the superhero film, but Osborn definitely has a huge presence. As we know, Osborn is one of a handful of villains Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) will face as he uncovers the truth of his powers and the secret ties his family has to OsCorp. This one's building up to something huge, something not every character may walk away from.

Directed by Marc Webb and co-starring Emma Stone, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens May 2nd 2014.
