Adam DeVine Returns as Bumper Allen in 'Pitch Perfect 2'

The last time we saw Adam DeVine's Bumper Allen in Pitch Perfect, he was leaving his acapella crew The Treblemakers high and dry, becoming a back-up singer for John Mayer. Maybe it was a short tour or Bumper's notorious ego got in the way because he'll be returning to lead his all-male team in Pitch Perfect 2.

Deadline confirms that DeVine will return for the sequel to 2012's hit comedy which Elizabeth Banks will direct. He joins Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Hailee Steinfeld, Brittany Snow, Alexis Knapp, and Skylar Astin. Kay Cannon, who wrote the first film, will pen the sequel but there are no plot details that might explain Bumper's return or anything else for that matter. Maybe he's coming back to finally hook up with Fat Amy? Or maybe hit her with another burrito?

Pitch Perfect 2 opens May 15th 2015.
