Channing Tatum to Star in '70s True Crime Thriller

As if Channing Tatum doesn't have enough on his plate with press for 22 Jump Street and Jupiter Ascending, plus plans to film Magic Mike 2, now he's become attached to a crime film that presumably will have nothing to do with Jonah Hill.

Tatum will produce and star in an untitled 1970s-set crime movie scripted by Kristin Gore (War Story) and depicting "the inspiring true story of an ordinary family man who decides to risk everything by going undercover to take down the biggest mob boss in the country."

Could be interesting but it really does depend on who comes aboard to direct.  [THR]
