Filming has commenced on The Hunger Games: Mockingjay but there are still additions being made to the cast. The latest coming aboard is Michelle Forbes, who will be taking on the role of Lt. Jackson in the second chapter of the franchise finale.
In the novels, Jackson is a District 13 sharpshooter and part of Katniss' rebellion against the Capitol. Forbes earned an Emmy nomination for her role in AMC's The Killing, and she also played the villain in season 2 of True Blood. But for me she will always be remembered as Dr. Cox in Homicide: Life on the Street and for starring with David Duchovny and Brad Pitt in Kalifornia.
Directed by Francis Lawrence, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 opens this November 21st with Part 2 arriving a year later.
