After its premier at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, people couldn't stop talking about Andrew Bujalski's peculiar little film, Computer Chess. The oddball movie, which sortof resembled a nerd biography done in the style of Wild Kingdom, played into Bujalski's "mumblecore" roots while showing he was capable of doing more. And now we're going to get a chance to see what "more" is in his next film.
Bujalski will have a chance to work with recognizable stars for once as Guy Pearce (via the New York Times) will be part of his next film, Results. Not only that, but according to ThePlaylist he'll be joined by Cobie Smulders, Anthony Michael Hall (!!!), Kevin Corrigan, Constance Zimmer (Entourage), Brooklyn Decker, and Giovanni Ribisi. As for the story, it follows "Kat and Trevor, personal trainers, and what happens when out-of-shape and newly wealthy Danny enters their lives."
Sounds pretty good, and it will be interesting to see what approach Bujalski takes with a little more attention on him.
