Harrison Ford to Miss 8 Weeks of 'Star Wars: Episode VII' Filming Due to Injury
Last week we learned that Harrison Ford had suffered an injury on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. We didn't know how significant the damage was, and Ford was reported to be in the hospital while filming continued. Now THR is reporting the injury is actually a broken ankle that will cause Ford to miss eight weeks of shooting.
Ford's absence will probably make things a little more difficult for J.J. Abrams, but it won't have an impact on the release schedule. If anything, it might mean a little more body double and CGI work will go into the production. Or they could do a lot of scenes where Han Solo is forced to sit down, maybe play some Dejarik with Chewbacca on the Millennium Falcon?
Star Wars: Episode VII continues rolling along to meet the December 18th 2015 release date.
