New Trailer for 'Felony' Written by and Starring Joel Edgerton

Joel Edgerton is proving to be quite a force behind the camera as part of the production collective at Blue-Tongue Films, made up fellow Aussies David Michod (Animal Kingdom), Nash Edgerton, Spencer Susser (Hesher), and Kieran Darcy-Smith (Wish You Were Here). The latest film from the group sees Edgerton starring in Felony, a crime film which he penned the screenplay for Matthew Saville (Noise) to direct.

A new international trailer for the film has been released and it looks like a gritty, if somewhat familiar cop movie about loyalty and responsibility. Edgerton is joined by Tom Wilkinson, Melissa George, and Jai Courtney in a rare dramatic turn, with the story centering on three detectives dealing with the aftermath of a terrible accident that has left a child near death.  While Edgerton and Wilkinson seem to be as solid as ever, the real surprise may be Courtney who has rarely been given an opportunity outside of action franchises.

Felony has yet to gain a release date but should arrive later this year. Edgerton most recently co-wrote the script to David Michod's The Rover, in theaters now.
