Emily Ratajkowski Joins Zac Efron's DJ Film 'We Are Your Friends'

So who says getting naked in some guy's music video isn't a smart career move? Well, nobody says that anymore, especially not with "Blurred Lines" chick Emily Ratajkowski building a solid acting resume for herself. She scored a role in David Fincher's Gone Girl opposite Ben Affleck, and now she'll join Zac Efron for We Are Your Friends.

This is the DJ project we learned about last month, to be directed by Max Joseph. Plot details have been fleshed out, too, with the story following "an aspiring 23-year-old DJ named Cole spends his days scheming with his childhood friends and his nights working on the one track that will set the world on fire. All of this changes when he meets a charismatic but damaged older DJ named James who takes him under his wing. Things get complicated, however, when Cole starts falling for James’ much younger girlfriend, Sophie. With Cole’s forbidden relationship intensifying and his friendships unraveling, he must choose between love, loyalty, and the future he knows he’s destined for." Others circling roles are Jonny Weston (Chasing Mavericks), Shiloh Fernandez (The East), and Alex Shaffer from Win Win and 22 Jump Street.

Filming is set to begin in August.
