'Headhunters' Director Morten Tyldum to Helm 'Chain of Events'

Morten Tyldum isn't a household name yet, but with Oscar buzz swirling around his Alan Turing biopic, The Imitation Game, that could be changing real soon. And fitting of his status as a director on the rise, Tyldum is getting a number of offers, and he's just agreed to direct an adaptation of Fredrik T. Olsson's book, Chain of Events.

Warner Bros. picked up the rights to the book a couple of years ago even though it doesn't arrive on shelves until November, so they clearly have high expectations and hiring Tyldum a big vote of confidence. Described as "World War Z meets The Da Vinci Code", the story follows a once-respected cryptologist who is kidnapped by a top secret organization and forced to crack a code that could save humanity.

Tyldum has a couple of other projects he's attached to so it's unclear if Chain of Events will be next or further down the line. He made quite a splash a couple of years ago with the wild crime flick Headhunters and if The Imitation Game is the hit many expect he will be in even greater demand.
