Lucy Lawless Joins 'Marvel's Agents of SHIELD'; Crossover Poster with 'Agent Carter' Revealed

Wherever Lucy Lawless goes, hit TV shows tend to follow. Many will remember her for the six seasons she played the fierce Xena: Warrior Princess, which she then followed with a few very good years on Battlestar Galactica. And after kicking off the excellent Spartacus series the first few seasons Lawless is now hoping to spin the same magic on Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.

The news comes from TV Guide who have no details on her role at all, and considering SHIELD no longer exists it would be premature to assume she'll be an agent. She'd make a heck of an Asgardian, though, don't you think?

Chances are we'll learn more during the Marvel TV panel at Comic-Con on Friday, where we'll also probably learn more about the upcoming Agent Carter series. To tease just such a thing, a new poster has been released featuring both shows, rendered by artist Matt Ferguson. Marvel's Agents of SHIELD returns on September 23rd.
