The Professional, La Femme Nikita, The Fifth Element, Adele Blanc Sec....Luc Besson loves his butt-kicking femme fatales and has basically built a career bringing them to the screen, and that doesn't even include the films he's written (like Colombiana) featuring tough as nails ladies. Will Scarlett Johansson be his next great one in the sci-fi action flick, Lucy? Take a look at the latest clip and judge for yourself.
Johansson brings the sexy and the attitude as a drug mule who accidentally digests the drug she's carrying and becomes gifted with incredible powers, powers that give her the ability to use her full brain capacity. So what does that mean? Increased knowledge absorption, telepathy, telekinesis, and apparently the ability to push around inept French cops. Basically this rather long clip has everything we've come to expect from Besson. Energetic but generic soundtrack backing a car chase through the Paris streets, the aforementioned inept cop, and one pouty-lipped heroine with a mean streak. Sign me up.
Lucy hits theaters on July 25th.
