Adrianne Palick Joins Marvel's 'Agents of SHIELD' as Mockingbird

One of the many reasons fans love the Marvel Cinematic Universe is that you never know when or where a fan-favorite character will pop up. It's worked in keeping fans on the edge of their seat and packing into theaters, but the world of TV is a little bit different. After a turbulent first season, Marvel's Agents of SHIELD is announcing more superheroes for season two, and now we know who will be playing Mockingbird, a prominent member of the Avengers.

Friday Night Lights, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and Red Dawn star Adrianne Palick has joined Agents of Shield as Bobbi Morse aka Mockingbird. In the comics, Chase is a SHIELD agent, Avenger,  and the wife of Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye. Her appearance was first teased at Comic-Con by Patton Oswalt, and she may have something to do with the Life Model Decoys SHIELD uses. She should debut in the season's fifth episode and could be there causing trouble for Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of his team as they deal with SHIELD's implosion. Just how many episodes she'll be appearing in is being kept a mystery, but one has to assume with Palicki's credentials she's someone Marvel will want to keep around.

Palicki joins the returning cast and new additions Kyle MacLachlan; Lucy Lawless as SHIELD agent Isabelle Hartly; Reed Diamond as Daniel Whitehall aka Kraken; plus Henry Simmons, Nick Blood, and Simon Kassianides. Agents of SHIELD returns on September 23rd.
