'The Imitation Game' Announced as Centerpiece of Middleburg Film Festival

While other festivals like Toronto and Telluride may be more prestigious late season festivals, boasting a wide array of potential Academy Awards candidates, many of the movies that made a splash there will be coming to local festivals soon. The Middleburg Film Festival will be back for its second year after a very successful debut in 2013, and founder Sheila Johnson has just scored a major coup by landing the TIFF People's Choice winner The Imitation Game for the centerpiece slot.

The Middleburg Film Festival is a four-day event running from Oct. 30th-Nov. 2nd, showcasing a small but prized group of movies both foreign and domestic. The Imitation Game, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch as cryptanalyst Alan Turing as he tries to break the German Enigma code during WWII, will be the big draw on Saturday night, November 1st. Last year's centerpiece film was the Nelson Mandela biopic, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
