Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper Enjoy the View in First 'Serena' Clip

By now you know the story about Serena, Susanne Bier's film starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence that has been sitting on ice for a couple of years. All involved have completed other high-profile projects since, but finally it will be unveiled in full to the public at the London Film Festival before opening stateside early next year. And with reports that the film may not be all that great continuing to surface, a new clip has been released that is, frankly, kind of flat.

The Depression-era drama follows a timber magnate and his wife as they try to hold on to their North Carolina business while struggling with dark secrets from his past and her inability to bear children. This scene shows the couple in a happier moment as he shows off their new home with promises of more in the future. There's nothing really wrong with Lawrence or Cooper's acting in this scene, it's just really dry and there's no passion or anything between them. It just feels off, and maybe that's why the film has run in to so many difficulties.

Serena hits VOD on February 26th 2015 with a theatrical run to follow a month later.
