The name Gregory Levasseur may not be a familiar one, but horror fans will recognize his many screenwriting and producing collaborations with Alexandre Aja: Piranha 3D, High Tension, and The Hills have Eyes. Now Levasseur takes his own turn behind the camera (with Aja producing) with The Pyramid, a subterranean thriller that looks like a combination of The Descent and Alien.
Starring Ashley Hinshaw (Plus One), Denis O'Hare (True Blood), and James Buckley (The Inbetweeners), the film centers on a team of archaeologists who unleash something terrible while exploring a pyramid beneath the Egyptian desert. The Pyramid opens December 5th.
