Trailer for George Lucas' Animated Film 'Strange Magic'
So you heard George Lucas and Lucasfilm were making a movie called Strange Magic and thought "Jedi Knights!! Whoo whoo!!!!". Well, no. It turned out to not be anything associated with Star Wars, but instead was an animated movie about fairies. Does that mean it can't still be worth a look? Well, check out the new trailer and decide.
Directed by Gary Rydstrom based on a story Lucas wrote, the film is inspired by A Midsummer Night's Dream and takes place in a world of goblins, faeries, elves, and other woodland creatures who apparently love them some trendy pop songs. The voice cast consists of Alan Cumming, Evan Rachel Wood, Kristin Chenoweth, Maya Rudolph, Sam Palladio, Meredeth Anne Bull, Alfred Molina, Elijah Kelley, and Peter Stormare, which is impressive but can't help that this film looks like it should have come out in 2001.
Strange Magic casts its spell on January 23rd 2015.
