Given all the zombie TV shows and movies, it's a little strange that Capcom took so long for a Dead Rising film. Perhaps they were just waiting for the right platform, and few months ago they found it by striking a deal for Dead Rising: Watchtower to be streamed exclusively on Crackle. Now the first clip from the film has arrived and it's as blood-soaked and crazy as the hit video game franchise.
Unfortunately, this clip doesn't give us a look at funnyman Rob Riggle as the game's hero, Frank West, but an early promo (also seen below) does. This scene shows the beginning of the zombie outbreak and the insanity that ensues, with stars Jesse Metcalfe and Keegan Connor Tracy caught up in it. Virginia Madsen, Dennis Haysbert, and Meghan Ory co-star.
Crackle will begin streaming Dead Rising: Watchtower on March 27th.
