First Trailer for Gillian Flynn Adaptation 'Dark Places' with Charlize Theron and Chloe Moretz

A couple of years have passed since the first glimpse of Charlize Theron in the adaptation of Gillian Flynn's novel Dark Places emerged, and since then we've received practically nothing. In the meantime David Fincher brought Flynn's Gone Girl to the big screen and it was a big hit, making Flynn more of a hot commodity around Hollywood than ever. So it has been a little surprising that so little has been seen or heard from Dark Places domestically (other than a poster), but the film is arriving internationally next month and a trailer for it is here.

Starring Theron, Chloe Moretz, Nicholas Hoult, Christina Hendricks, Tye Sheridan, and Drea De Matteo, the mystery thriller follows Libby Day (Theron), who as a teenager survived the brutal murder of her family and testified against her brother for the crime. Now 30 years later she is confronted by the "Kill Club", a crime-solving bunch who want to uncover the truth about what really happened.

The film is directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner (Sarah's Key) and looks like another suspenseful effort from Flynn. Dark Places opens in France on April 18th and hopefully a stateside release will be announced soon.
