The Amanda Knox trial had enough twists and turns that a fictional adaptation like The Face of an Angel seems redundant, but Michael Winterbottom hopes the controversial case can still grab people's attention. Starring Daniel Bruhl, Cara Delevingne, and Kate Beckinsale, the film centers on a director in Italy trying to make a movie about the infamous murder trial.
Winterbottom's had a tough go of it lately, and there's little in this new trailer that suggests The Face of an Angel will turn that around. Reviews have been solid since the film started playing at festivals but to say buzz has been quiet on it would be an understatement. Look for it to hit theaters stateside on June 30th.
