New 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Clips; Blu-Ray Includes Extended Version and Alternate Ending

Avengers: Age of Ultron is less than a week away now, and for some of us here in DC the screening will be in only two days. But the film is already out in some areas overseas, amassing $44M so far. It also means the film is available for pre-order in the UK, and with the news comes word on the home release.

Joss Whedon's talked about his original cut of the film, saying it was over three hours long (!!!) and that a chunk of that wouldn't make the theatrical version. It appears all, or at least most of that extra footage will be available on Blu-Ray in an extended version and an alternate ending. From what I've heard there are quite a few scenes in the trailers that simply aren't in the movie but it's a good bet they'll end up on the home release. The biggest question mark is that alternate ending.  Of course we'll let you know as soon as it's available for pre-order here in the States.

In addition, here are a handful of new clips from the film, giving a broader look at the superhero sequel for those who simply can't wait a few more days! Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1st. [ScreenCrush]
