New Posters for 'Magic Mike XXL', 'The Peanuts Movie', 'Aloha', and 'Southpaw'
Channing Tatum and the rest of the oiled-up cast of Magic Mike XXL show off their abs in a series of new character posters. The film opens July 21st and co-stars Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Adam Rodriguez, Kevin Nash, Amber Heard, Jada Pinkett Smith, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Glover, Michael Strahan, and Gabriel Iglesias. SYNOPSIS: Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, “Magic Mike XXL” finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.
Here are four adork-able posters for the gorgeous, CG-animated The Peanuts Movie. The images feature Schroeder, Woodstock, plus hetero lifemates Peppermint Patty and Marcie. The film opens November 6th and is produced by Paul Feig with Steve Martino directing. SYNOPSIS: Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved “Peanuts” gang make their big-screen debut, like they’ve never been seen before, in state of the art 3D animation. Snoopy, the world’s most lovable beagle and flying ace embarks upon his greatest mission as he takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis The Red Baron, while his best pal, Charlie Brown, begins his own epic quest. From the imagination of Charles M. Schulz and the creators of the ICE AGE films, THE PEANUTS MOVIE will prove that every underdog has his day.
Say Aloha to the first poster for Cameron Crowe's new film starring Bradley Cooper, Rachel McAdams, Emma Stone, Bill Murray, John Krasinski, and Alex Baldwin. The Hawaii-set comedy was originally to open last December but was moved to May 29th, which was probably a good idea because it looks pretty light. SYNOPSIS: In Aloha, a celebrated military contractor (Bradley Cooper) returns to the site of his greatest career triumphs – the US Space program in Honolulu, Hawaii – and reconnects with a long-ago love (Rachel McAdams) while unexpectedly falling for the hard-charging Air Force watchdog (Emma Stone) assigned to him. From Academy Award®-winner Cameron Crowe, the writer-director behind such films as Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous, Aloha also stars Bill Murray, John Krasinski, Danny McBride, and Alec Baldwin.
And finally, Jake Gyllenhaal is battered and bloody on the new Southpaw poster. The boxing drama is directed by Antoine Fuqua and co-stars the busy Rachel McAdams, Naomie Harris, Victor Ortiz, Forest Whitaker, and 50 Cent. Southpaw steps into the ring on July 31st. SYNOPSIS: From director Antoine Fuqua (TRAINING DAY) and writers Kurt Sutter (SONS OF ANARCHY) and Richard Wenk (THE MECHANIC) comes SOUTHPAW – the story of Billy “The Great” Hope, Junior Middleweight Boxing Champion of the World. When tragedy strikes and he loses it all, Billy enters the battle of his life as he struggles to become a contender once again and win back those he loves.
