Ellen Page and Allison Janney Reteam for 'Tallulah'; Imogen Poots Joins The Lonely Island Film 'Conner4real'
Ellen Page and Allison Janney must love working together because they've already done it twice, in Juno and Touchy Feely, and are now set for a third. The duo are reuniting for Tallulah, a dramedy marking the directorial debut of Orange is the New Black writer Sian Heder. The story centers on a free-spirited woman who rescues a baby from its reckless mother but is accused of kidnapping. She pretends the child belongs to her and her ex-boyfriend, but comes to form an unbreakable bond with the baby's true mother. This sounds like it could be a tough tone to balance, but having Page and Janney in the lead roles should make things easier. [ScreenDaily]
Imogen Poots, last seen in Need for Speed, is in talks to join Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer's Lonely Island film, Conner4real, which Judd Apatow will produce. Also coming aboard is SNL vet Tim Meadows (The Ladies Man), to star in the musical parody about a rapper (Samberg) whose album bombs and leaves him with little career choice other than to re-form his old boy band. Poots will be seen later this year in Peter Bogdanovich's She's Funny that Way, and Jeremy Saulnier's crime thriller Green Room which just debuted at Cannes. [TheWrap/Deadline]
