Two Clips from Cannes Favorite, Pixar's 'Inside Out'
While there are plenty of films looking to get bought and sold at Cannes, Pixar's Inside Out obviously wasn't one of them. It also turned out to be, arguably, the film audiences loved the most, earning a standing ovation after its premiere. We're still a few weeks away from it opening in theaters stateside, but two new clips show why everyone has been so excited for what some are calling another Pixar masterpiece.
Directed by Pete Docter (Up), the inventive story takes us inside the mind of 11-year-old Riley (Kaitlyn Dias), where her jumble of emotions are voiced by Mindy Kaling as Disgust, Bill Hader as Fear, Lewis Black as Anger, Amy Poehler as Joy, and Phyllis Smith as Sadness. They must help Riley cope with being uprooted from her life in the Midwest to San Francisco.
The first clip introduces us to Anger and Disgust, while the second clues us into the workings of long-term memory. Inside Out opens June 19th.
