The last time we saw Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell together on the big screen they were competitive rivals in Blades of Glory, but their next project will see them working together. Earlier this year Ferrell signed on to star in The House, a comedy from Neighbors writers Brendan O’Brien and Andrew J. Cohen, and now Poehler is joining him.
Poehler will play Ferrell's wife in the comedy, which centers on a married couple who lose their daughter's college fund. To recoup the money, they join with their neighbors to start an illegal casino in their suburban home's basement.
Cohen will be making his directorial debut, with Adam McKay producing alongside Ferrell. Poehler will next be heard in Pixar's Inside Out, voicing the character Joy. [Variety]
