New Posters for 'The Perfect Guy', 'Everest', 'Southpaw', 'Vacation', and 'The Peanuts Movie'

Michael Ealy still looks like a deranged psycho on the new poster for The Perfect Guy, just as he does in the recently-released trailer. David M. Rosenthal (the underrated A Single Shot) directs with Sanaa Lathan and Morris Chestnut joining Ealy in the film, which opens on September 11th. SYNOPSIS: After a painful breakup, successful lobbyist Leah Vaughn (Sanaa Lathan) jumps into a passionate relationship with a charming stranger (Michael Ealy). When her ex-boyfriend (Morris Chestnut) resurfaces in her life she has to figure out who she should trust and who she should fear.

There's a remarkable cast assembled for Everest, the mountain climbing thriller from director Baltasar Kormakur. Jason Clarke, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Josh Brolin feature on the latest poster, but the rest of the cast is pretty sweet, too. Sam Worthington, John Hawkes, Robin Wright, Keira Knightley, and Emily Watson co-star in the true story of a doomed expedition to the top of the mountain. Everest opens on September 8th. SYNOPSIS: Inspired by the incredible events surrounding an attempt to reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain, EVEREST documents the awe-inspiring journey of two different expeditions challenged beyond their limits by one of the fiercest snowstorms ever encountered by mankind.  Their mettle tested by the harshest elements found on the planet, the climbers will face nearly impossible obstacles as a lifelong obsession becomes a breathtaking struggle for survival.

How would you like to have Rachel McAdams waiting for you after a tough night in the boxing ring? She might be worth taking a few punches for. Jake Gyllenhaal stars in the boxing drama, Southpaw, which is directed by Antoine Fuqua and co-stars Forest Whitaker and 50 Cent. SYNOPSIS: From director Antoine Fuqua (TRAINING DAY) and writers Kurt Sutter (SONS OF ANARCHY) and Richard Wenk (THE MECHANIC) comes SOUTHPAW – the story of Billy “The Great” Hope, Junior Middleweight Boxing Champion of the World. When tragedy strikes and he loses it all, Billy enters the battle of his life as he struggles to become a contender once again and win back those he loves. SOUTHPAW stars Academy Award® nominee Jake Gyllenhaal, Academy Award® winner Forest Whitaker, Rachel McAdams, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Rita Ora, Naomie Harris and Victor Ortiz.  In theaters July 2015.

The Griswolds are back for another doomed road trip on the new Vacation poster. Ed Helms stars as the grown-up Rusty, with Christina Applegate as his wife, Leslie Mann as Audrey, Chris Hemsworth as Audrey's husband, plus Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo back in their classic roles of Clark and Ellen Griswold. In a cool touch, Jane Krakowski and John P. Navin Jr. will be reprising their roles as the redneck cousins Vicki and Dale from the original film. Directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, Vacation opens July 31st. SYNOPSIS: Following in his father’s footsteps and hoping for some much-needed family bonding, a grown-up Rusty Griswold (Helms) surprises his wife, Debbie (Applegate), and their two sons with a cross-country trip back to America’s “favorite family fun park,” Walley World.

This new poster for The Peanuts Movie might be my favorite one-sheet of the year. The image features all of Charles M. Schulz's wonderful creations, including six of Snoopy's seven siblings. What, they couldn't fit in one more? The CG-animated film is produced by Paul Feig and directed by Steve Martino, opening on November 6th. I can't wait. SYNOPSIS: Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved “Peanuts” gang make their big-screen debut, like they’ve never been seen before, in state of the art 3D animation.  Snoopy, the world’s most lovable beagle and flying ace embarks upon his greatest mission as he takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis The Red Baron, while his best pal, Charlie Brown, begins his own epic quest.  From the imagination of Charles M. Schulz and the creators of the ICE AGE films, THE PEANUTS MOVIE will prove that every underdog has his day.
