So why are Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig playing so many headgames with us when it comes to A Deadly Adoption? You may recall that's the Lifetime movie they were revealed to have completed a couple months back, much to the surprise of just about everyone. But when the word got out they decided to cancel the project....or so we thought because now we've got the first teaser and a release date.
Featuring a script by The Spoils of Babylon writer Andrew Steele, this is a satirical dramatic thriller about a married couple looking after a pregnant woman whose baby they plan to adopt, only for something to go terribly wrong And apparently it goes badly enough that a bloodied Wiig will be trying to shoot someone. Yes, this looks cheesy but that's probably the point. The film is directed by Rachel Lee Goldenberg and co-stars Jessica Lowndes.
A Deadly Adoption airs on June 20th, so set your DVRs.
