It's been an Imperius Rex-sized week for Universal and Jurassic World, which opened to a record breaking $512M opening weekend, shattering all expectations. And while we can definitely expect to see a fifth film in the Jurassic Park franchise, the Blu-Ray release is expected to be huge, as well. Striking while the iron is hot, Universal has revealed the Jurassic World Limited Edition Gift Set, which comes in one amazing package.
The gift set includes the Blu-Ray 3D, DVD, Blu-Ray, and Digital HD, but the real reason to pick this up is the statue featuring the epic clash between the Imperius Rex and Tyrannosaurus Rex. All it needs is a "High Heels and Road Flares Bryce Dallas Howard" action figure. The limited edition set is valued at $107.98, worth it for the true collector, while the traditional Blu-Ray is currently priced at $24.99. You can pre-order the limited edition set right here, and the regular Blu-ray edition here. I know which one I'm getting.
No word on a firm release date in the U.S. yet, but at this rate it won't be a long wait. And check it out, Universal aren't the only ones happy about Jurassic World's mammoth box office. Marvel are surprisingly pleased it surpassed The Avengers for the highest domestic debut ever, and congratulated them with this image of Chris Pratt (also part of the MCU with Guardians of the Galaxy) triumphantly riding a Mjolnir-wielding Tyrannosaurus Rex. Awesome.
